Rita Levi-Montalcini was born (April 22, 1909-December 30, 2012). Levi-Montalcini was a Italian neurobiologist who won the 1986 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, along with Stanley Cohen, for her discovery of nerve growth factor. On April 22, 2009, she became the first Nobel Laureate to turn 100 years of age.
